Rotating selections of Miotte’s work are shown at the museum on a regular basis, as are selections from the museum permanent collection,which contains 500 works, including paintings, etchings, sculpture, ceramics, tapestries, and works on paper, primarily focusing on L'Art Informel and Abstract Expressionist artists from Europe and the United States, including Pol Bury, Mimmo Rotella, and Jean-Paul Riopelle.

In 2011 the Chelsea Art Museum recreated a performance of Black Zero, a happening staged by Aldo Tambellini at Group Center on several occasions between 1963 and 1965.
Her work has been performed and exhibited at The New York Video Festival at Lincoln Center; documenta in Kassel, Germany; The Kitchen, NYC; Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon; City of Women festival, Slovenia; The Chelsea Art Museum, NYC; HiTeca Festival in Porto, Portugal; Art Institute of Chicago; Experimenta Festival in Buenos Aires; The Hamburg Short Film Festival; and at The Impakt Festival in The Netherlands.
Shirley has also been exhibited at the Moscow Biennale, the Chelsea Art Museum, New York, the Video Lounge at ArtBasel Miami 2006, and The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg Russia.
The last IMCexpo in 2005 was held at the Chelsea Art Museum and featured speakers like DJ Spooky, Michael Naimark, Natalie Jeremijenko, Clay Shirky and other visionaries.
