Chemnitzer FC, a German football club based in Chemnitz, Saxony
The club was initially formed by students from Mittweida as Chemnitzer SC Britannia on 2 December 1899.
He made his debut for the club in a 2-2 home draw with Chemnitzer FC on 8 August 2009, and went on to make 26 league appearances for the club during the 2009-10 Regionalliga campaign, scoring one goal.

In 1963, Erler moved to SC Karl-Marx-Stadt, where he played alongside the player described by Pelé as the best left-winger in the world at the time: Eberhard Vogel.
