Chiaravalle Abbey: Cistercian abbey in the eponymous district of Milan
Lucedio contributed in its turn to the expansion of the Cistercian Order by giving birth to three daughter-houses over the next eighty years: S. Maria di Chiaravalle della Castagnola (1147) in the Marche, Rivalta Scrivia (1180) near Tortona and Acqualunga (1204) near Pavia.
When she died, some time between 1279 and 1282, her body was buried in the Cistercian monastery at Chiaravalle; the burial site soon became a shrine and a cult sprang up around her.
The dialect of Ancona is spoken in the region of the town of Ancona, Porto Recanati, Loreto, Osimo, Jesi, Chiaravalle and Falconara.
