Monday through Thursday night the program is hosted primarily by Phil Ponce.

Dan’s father is Phil Ponce, a Chicago television journalist who hosts Chicago Tonight, a nightly television magazine of news and culture on PBS member station WTTW (channel 11).
From 2000 until 2001, Brackett, along with journalist and comedian Aaron Freeman, co-hosted a science-themed spin-off of Chicago Tonight called Chicago Tomorrow.
