The UK Chinese Ensemble is an internationally recognised UK Chinese music ensemble that was founded in 1994 by Chinese virtuosi resident in Britain.
The station began stunting as "Kung Pao 100.5 FM", playing "Classic Chinese Hits" (traditional Chinese instrumentals).

Interested in music from a young age, she used to go by train to her nearest Tower Records shop so that she could buy the only non-Chinese music they had and, as a result, she developed a liking for bands such as Weezer, The Smashing Pumpkins, and The Lemonheads.
She performs traditional and modern Chinese music, with her groups Spirit of Nature and Beijing Trio (a different group from the Beijing Trio which includes Max Roach, Jon Jang, and Jiebing Chen).
