Some of BMAC’s notable exhibiting artists have included Jennifer Bartlett, Chuck Close, Janet Fish, Wolf Kahn, Chris Van Allsburg and Andy Warhol.
His art has also been featured on the covers of an edition of C. S. Lewis' series The Chronicles of Narnia published by HarperCollins in 1994, as well as in three children's books written by Mark Helprin.
In one of his recent books, The Important Books: Children’s Picture Books as Art and Literature, he examines the picture-books of such artist-writers as Maurice Sendak, Chris Van Allsburg, Arnold Lobel, and William Joyce.
The children's book was written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg, who grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and as a child attended every home football game at Michigan State, next to which this engine was on static display.
