The municipality of Vardø is centered around the town of Vardø, which received its town status from King Christian VII of Norway on 17 July 1789.

In 2012, he won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival for his portrayal of King Christian VII in the A Royal Affair, his feature film debut, while still studying at the Danish National School of Theatre and Contemporary Dance.


Charlotte, Princess Royal

She was christened on 27 October 1766 at St James's Palace, by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Thomas Secker, and her godparents were her paternal uncle and aunt, King Christian VII of Denmark and his wife, Caroline Matilda of Great Britain (for whom the Duke of Portland, Lord Chamberlain, and the Dowager Countess of Effingham, stood proxy, respectively) and her paternal aunt, Princess Louisa.
