Circuit de Monaco

The idea for a Grand Prix race around the streets of Monaco came from Antony Noghès, the president of the Monegasque car club and close friend of the ruling Grimaldi family.

Louis Chiron did it at the non-championship 1931 Monaco Grand Prix; 82 years later, Stefano Coletti crossed the line in first position at the sprint race of the 2013 Monaco GP2 Series round.


Addax Team

Having previously scored a meagre four points over more than two years of GP2, Cecotto made a breakthrough with Addax, winning the feature races at Monaco (from pole position) and Hockenheim.

Rob Nguyen

By the next race, in Monaco, Nguyen had run out of funding and lost his drive with the team, to be replaced by Will Langhorne.
