Cohen is a former director of Citicorp (now part of Citigroup NYSE: C),the Home Title Division of the Chicago Title Insurance Company (now part of Fidelity National Financial NYSE:FNF), and the John Hancock Mutual Fund.
McCullough also sculpted Limestone Lion (1983), a similar stone work donated by CitiCorp to the Lincoln Park Zoo in memory of A. Rush Watkins, the Chicago businessman who helped establish the Lincoln Park Zoological Society and later served as its president.
The president of Citicorp Argentina during the 1990s, H. Richard Handley, had been raised in Argentina with the chairman of Citigroup at the time, John S. Reed, and obtained his support for the bank's lucrative participation in the 1990 sale of the state telephone concern ENTel.
