Mr. Kahn established a corporate clientele that included Citizens National Bank, The Gray Family Estate and Trusts, National City Bank (later Integra), and Crescent Plastics.
He then worked as assistant cashier and joined the Citizens National Bank as vice president in 1913.
The building was finished in 1967 as the headquarters of then Citizens National Bank.
He also served as the first president of Citizens National Bank, also known as Citizens Savings Bank which was started in 1888.
MacCorkle was also a founder and president of the Citizens National Bank, which later merged with the Charleston National Bank.
Subsequently, he organized and became president of the Citizens National Bank of Sour Lake, Texas which became one of the most prominent financial institutions in Hardin County.

On October 20, 2009 US Bancorp completed a transaction to purchase FBOP Corporation’s nine subsidiary banks from the FDIC: BankUSA, National Association (AZ), California National Bank (CA), Citizens National Bank (TX), Community Bank of Lemont (IL), Madisonville State Bank (TX), North Houston Bank (TX), Pacific National Bank (CA), Park National Bank (IL), and San Diego National Bank (CA).
