In February 1993, while attending Busan High School in Busan, South Korea, Jin was selected for the South Korea national baseball team as a high schooler to compete in the 17th Asian Baseball Championship in Perth, Australia.

Having lived in the city of Perth for some 14 years and meeting band members, Malaysian born Arun Satgunasingam (drummer and percussionist) and percussionist Sri Lankan born Kanchana Karunaratna, the band has been exposed to new influences which leads to what Blue Shaddy are today.
The CD release contained three tracks with a fourth song, "I Love Perth", included only on the vinyl edition, which references the city of Perth in Western Australia.
