Clearview, Ontario

Clearview, Washington

Clearview was established on timberland that once belonged to Isaac Cathcart and had been logged by the Snohomish Logging Company.

On Armistice Day 1931 a celebration was held in recognition of the new name of Clearview.

His large land holdings were purchased by George Hillman who platted and sold the lots, eventually creating the town of Clearview.

In 2006, he became a municipal politician, the Ward 3 councillor for Clearview Township.


JFK Expressway

Due to a freeway revolt, the Clearview Expressway was only completed as far south as Hillside Avenue (NY 25); the expressway was to continue south from Hillside Avenue to NY 27 (Conduit Avenue) in Laurelton and west across Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan to the Holland Tunnel.

Louisiana Highway 611

LA 3152 has since been extended south over South Clearview Parkway to U.S. 90/LA 48 (Jefferson Highway) at the Huey P. Long Bridge and north to I-10 over most of its former route.
