The stadium was rebuilt in 1991, but in 2005 lost its tenant, and is now used for college baseball by NCAA Division II Benedict College, and Coastal Plain League play by the new Columbia Blowfish in 2006.
The Most recent league movement includes the expansion Morehead City Marlins beginning play in 2010 and the Outer Banks Daredevils ceasing operations at the conclusion of the 2011 season.

Grainger Park was shared by the Kinston Eagles of the Coastal Plain League and the Grainger High School Red Devils who used it for both baseball and football.
Kill Devil Hills is home to the Outer Banks Daredevils of the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate summer baseball league.
Hicks Field was home to minor league baseball and semipro teams up until 1952, including the Edenton Colonials of the original Coastal Plain League, the Albemarle League, and the Virginia League.
