Intertriginous areas are known to harbor large amounts of aerobic cocci and aerobic coryneform bacteria which are both parts of normal skin flora.

Prochlorophyta

Members of Prochlorophyta have been found as coccoid (spherical) (Coccus) shaped, as in Prochlorococcus, and as filaments, as in Prochlorothrix.
