John Coddington (1937–), former English footballer (soccer player)
It was home to one of the few independent British oil companies, established in the 1970s by a group of ex-Royal Dutch Shell employees - Clyde Petroleum.
She was one of seven children of the Anglican clergyman, Charles Penswick Smith, who was vicar of Dagnall at the time of her birth and was vicar of Coddington, Nottinghamshire from 1890 to his death in 1922.
