Frank Magid

While a junior professor of social psychology, anthropology and statistics at the University of Iowa and Coe College, Magid launched his own company, Frank N. Magid Associates in 1956, selling his first research study to Merchants National Bank in Cedar Rapids.

Homer Screws

This brought him to the attention of Coe College of Cedar Rapids, Iowa which Screws in 1993 as head coach of its men’s soccer team.

Joseph Fort Newton

Newton held the honorary degrees of Doctor of Hebrew Literature (Coe College, 1912), Doctor of Divinity (Tufts University, 1919), Doctor of Humane Letters (Hobart and William Smith Colleges, 1926), and Doctor of Laws (Temple University, 1929).

Laura Skandera Trombley

In 1997, Skandera Trombley assumed the post of vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Coe College, a private liberal arts college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Marvin Cone

He graduated from Coe College in 1914 and then studied for several years at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
