On the French side the footpath continues until Le Planey, a village of Bramans.

The summit of the col is marked by a commemorative plaque to André Bach, 1888–1945, member of Legion of Honour and President of the Cyclo Club of Béarn (C.C.B.).
To the southwest of the Mont Cenis is the Little Mont Cenis (2184.2 m / 7166 ft) which leads from the summit plateau (in Italy) of the main pass to the Etache valley on the French slope and so to Bramans in the Arc valley.
