Coldbox is supported on both Railo (The popular open source CFML Engine) and Adobe's Coldfusion application servers.
In 1995 Joseph J. (JJ) Allaire (born c. 1969) co-founded Allaire Corporation with his brother Jeremy Allaire, creating the web development tool ColdFusion.
ColdFusion and Active Server Pages are examples of contemporary technologies that also implemented this model.
