Collingbourne Ducis

The Post Office at Collingbourne Ducis was mentioned by Sir Anthony Hopkins' character, Mr. Stevens, in the 1993 film The Remains of the Day.

It is one of several villages on the River Bourne, which is a seasonal river usually dry in summer.

Pelham Puppets

The factory was rebuilt and grew in size on the same location until it was sold and moved in 1985 to Collingbourne Ducis also in Wiltshire and then again sold and moved to Gloucestershire in the early 1990s but went into liquidation in 1993.

William Whately

Whately married Martha, daughter of George Hunt, fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford, and for 51 years rector of Collingbourne Ducis, Wiltshire.
