Clarence H. Blackall

He arrived in Boston, Massachusetts in 1882, where he was recognized for both his architectural innovations and his designs of significant Boston landmarks including the Colonial Theatre, Wilbur Theatre, Modern and Metropolitan (now the Wang Center for Performing Arts) theatres.

Colonial Theatre, Idaho Falls

The first moving picture shown at the theater was in November 1929, Harold Lloyd’s “Welcome Danger.” It was originally a silent film but at its preview it was eclipsed by a one-reel comedy with sound.

Josie Miles

In 1923 she toured the African-American theatre circuit with the Black Swan Troubadours, and performed in New York City in James P. Johnson's revue Runnin' Wild at the Colonial Theatre.

Marie Dainton

At the Colonial Theatre in New York in March 1909 Dainton appeared in vaudeville, again performing her mimicry of celebrities, including Harry Lauder, Anna Held, Marie Tempest, Marie Lloyd and Mrs Patrick Campbell.
