The population of Common Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) and grape growers are in conflict.
It is closely related to the Common Starling S. vulgaris, but has a much more restricted range, confined to the Iberian Peninsula, northwest Africa, southernmost France, and on the islands of Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica.

These measurements are just slightly larger on average than the closely related Yellow-faced Myna and indicate the species is around three times as massive as the Common Starling.
