Looking for only their third win of the season, the Bucs held off the Vikings for a 17–9 lead in the fourth until Warren Moon once again found Qadry Ismail; a two-point conversion throw to Cris Carter forced overtime tied 17–17, but the Bucs drove downfield for Michael Husted's winning field goal and the 20–17 loss, the third loss in a row and second in overtime in that span.
