Founded in 1970 after the unification of "Club Sportif Louhannais" (founded in 1916) and "Club de Cuiseaux" (founded in 1930), based in the villages of Louhans and Cuiseaux.
Jean-Édouard Vuillard, the son of a retired captain, spent his youth at Cuiseaux (Saône-et-Loire); in 1878 his family moved to Paris in modest circumstances.
