Charles Carrigan

In January 1916, Carrigan and fellow IRB members from Glasgow travelled to Dublin along with members of Na Fianna and Cumann na mBan and formed the Scottish Division of the Irish Volunteers and were based at the home of Count Plunkett in Kimmage, County Dublin where they prepared for an insurrection against British Rule in Ireland.


Bethel Solomons

His sister Estella Solomons (1882–1968) was a leading artist, and a member of Cumann na mBan during the 1916 rising; she married poet and publisher Seamus O'Sullivan.

Gobnait Ní Bhruadair

Ní Bhruadair, along with her close friend Mary MacSwiney, left Cumann na mBan following the decision by its members at their 1933 convention to pursue social radicalism.
