Casimir I died suddenly on 13 May 1230 (although some historians put his death one year earlier) and was buried in the still unfounded Czarnowąsy monastery, which was generously patronized by him.
It's unknown where he was buried but it is possible that the burial could have occurred in the monastery of Czarnowąsy in Opole, which was generously supported by the Duke.
The union was established in 1946, with the first sport club LZS Czarnowąsy in Opole Voivodeship.
