In 1965, the DATAR gives funds to Jean Bertin to help him create his company, the "Société d'Etude de l'Aérotrain", which aims to build a new hovercraft train.
Taylor was part of the original Ferranti Canada, working on the Royal Canadian Navy's DATAR system in the late forties and early fifties assisting in developing the world's first trackball.
It also received financial support from European (Feder, Ten-Telecom, Leader II) and national budgets (France Telecom and Datar).
