He played as a defender for SFK Lyn between 1973 and 1982, the first and sixth season in the First Division (highest tier).

He was later personnel director and faculty director at the University of Trondheim and NTNU, later in the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration in the Stjørdal district.

He made his debut against Frigg in May 1973, and played 117 league games and 15 cup games for Lyn, never scoring a goal.
