Frederick Dainton, Baron Dainton (1914–1997), a British academic chemist and university administrator
In 1971 he was knighted and in 1986 made a life peer, Baron Dainton of Hallam Moors.
At the Colonial Theatre in New York in March 1909 Dainton appeared in vaudeville, again performing her mimicry of celebrities, including Harry Lauder, Anna Held, Marie Tempest, Marie Lloyd and Mrs Patrick Campbell.
In 2006 Pritchard, Dainton, Locke, and Dan Joyce traveled around the globe doing stunts and pranks that related to the seven deadly sins for Dirty Sanchez: The Movie.
From Newton Abbot, the line climbs Dainton Bank, and from Totnes it climbs Rattery Bank, reaches a peak at Wrangaton summit, and then descends Hemerdon Bank to reach Plymouth.
