In addition to club and private aircraft, the field is used by Great Barrier Airlines to run a scheduled air service in 12 seat aircraft to Great Barrier Island, some 40 nm (75 km) offshore.

Great Barrier Airlines

The head office is located at the Air New Zealand Domestic Terminal at Auckland International Airport in Mangere, with an additional office in the Terminal Building of the North Shore Aerodrome in Dairy Flat.

Hawker Hind

Several former Royal New Zealand Air Force Hinds are being restored/reconstructed by the Subritzky family / The Classic Aircraft Collection at Dairy Flat near Auckland, of which at least NZ1517/K6687, and NZ1535/K6721 are under restoration to airworthy condition; substantial parts are also held for NZ1518/K6717, NZ1528/L7184, NZ1544/K6810 and NZ1554/K5465.


Stillwater, Auckland

Stillwater was also used as a secondary landing to transport logs, kauri gum and later fruit produce from orchards established on cleared land at Stillwater, Silverdale and Dairy Flat.
