1975 in Afghanistan

Under the energetic guidance of Daud Khan, considerable external help was secured for the construction of oil refineries, fertilizer factories, and various agricultural projects envisaged in the then current five-year plan, both China and the Soviet Union having contributed interest-free loans and technical aid.

Mohammad Nabi Mohammadi

Daud Khan came to power at the end of the parliament session in a 1973 coup.When the parliament was dissolved by President Daud, Nabi Muhammadi returned to teaching in madrasas, first in Logar and then in Helmand.

Allahverdi’s younger son, Daud Khan, served as governor of Ganja and Karabakh from 1625 to 1630, and had more intimate ties with Georgia, the country of the family’s origin.
