In 2006, Cass and John Jennings collaborated again for Cass's third CD, Accidental Pilgrimage, which also featured the pianist, Grammy winner Jon Carroll, and the percussionist Dave Mattacks.
Son of Morris On is an electric folk album released in 1976 under the joint names of Ashley Hutchings, Simon Nicol, John Tams, Phil Picket, Michael Gregory, Dave Mattacks, Shirley Collins, Martin Carthy, John Watchem, John Rodd, The Albion Morris Men, Ian Cutler, and the Adderbury Village Morris Men.
Formed originally to record a solo project by the singer and songwriter Mike Barry, former singer for Pooka Stew, the line-up of guitarist Milt Reder, bassist Dean Cassell, and legendary English folk drummer Dave Mattacks - who has recorded with many noted acts including Paul McCartney, XTC and Richard Thompson - clicked, and Super Genius was born.
Dave Mattacks of Fairport Convention and XTC's Dave Gregory provided drum and bass work for the album, with Phillipps the only other credited musician (aside from guest keyboards played by producer Craig Leon).
The 1994 tour marked the debut of a new look, smaller live band for Thompson with multi-instrumentalist Pete Zorn and the rhythm section of Dave Mattacks and Danny Thompson (no relation) providing the backing.
The original UK LP issue included an inner sleeve photograph of the band posing on the steps of the Sydney Opera House, with Dave Mattacks sporting a shirt bearing the prominent legend "Harrison Birtwistle where its at".
The concert featured surviving original Fairport members Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings, Simon Nicol, Dave Mattacks, Iain Matthews and Judy Dyble as well as a host of guest vocalists including Chris While, Teddy Thompson and Linde Nijland.
July 2009 Linde was asked by Joe Boyd (former producer of, among others, Nick Drake, Incredible String Band, Fairport Convention, Pink Floyd) to sing the songs "Fotheringay" and "Si tu dois partir" as part of an 'All Star' Fairport Convention reunion concert in the Barbican Hall in London with original Fairport members Richard Thompson, Simon Nicol, Judy Dyble, Iain Mathews, Ashley Hutchings, Dave Mattacks and Dave Pegg.
Nick Drake visited when making his first albums (Dave Pegg and Dave Mattacks of Fairport Convention played bass and drums respectively on these).
