Dave Brock

A Westone Spectrum LX since 1985 (custom painted by Alan Arthurs, with a portion of the Space Ritual LP cover), and previously had a Westone Paduak-1 from 1982 until 2008, custom painted by Guy Thomas after the St. Albans gig of the 1984 winter tour, with the Warrior on the Edge of Time LP cover.

Jack of Shadows

A song, "Jack of Shadows", based on the novel and written by Dave Brock, Robert Calvert, Simon King and Simon House, appears on the 1979 Hawkwind album PXR5.


Del Dettmar

He co-produced (with Dave Brock) the album Doremi Fasol Latido and is credited as composer of the tracks "One Change" (Doremi Fasol Latido), "Electronic No. 1" (Space Ritual) and "Goat Willow" (Hall of the Mountain Grill).

Sonic Assassins

Hawkwind main writers Robert Calvert (vocals) and Dave Brock (guitar) were living in Devon towards the end of 1977 and had befriended local band Ark, who had often supported Hawkwind at some of their West Country gigs.

The Chronicle of the Black Sword

After two years of constant line-up changes, guitarist Dave Brock (the only member who has remained since the band's formation) settled on a line-up of himself, guitarist Huw Lloyd-Langton, keyboardist Harvey Bainbridge bassist Alan Davey and drummer Danny Thompson (son of Pentangle's bassist Danny Thompson).

The group's line-up had changed by this point, with guitarists Dave Brock and Huw Lloyd-Langton, and saxophonist Nik Turner remaining, and Harvey Bainbridge switching from bass to keyboards.
