Mars Direct: A plan for a manned Mars mission created by NASA engineers Robert Zubrin and David Baker in 1990, later expanded upon in Zubrin's 1996 book The Case for Mars.

The materials for this work were collected by David Baker, and then his friend, John Jones, alias Leander à S. Martino, wrote up the materials into respectable latinity.

Another younger sister, Marie Orth-Pallavicini, is married to David Baker Cadman, a grandson of John Cadman, 1st Baron Cadman.
