David Geoffrey Pennington AC (born 4 February 1930) is an Australian doctor, academic, Vice-Chancellor and director.

He was appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia in 1988 for services to medicine and to the community, particularly in the field of medical education and health care.
It is named after David Geoffrey Pennington, an Australian surgeon who is a pioneer of microsurgeries.
