Jetronic

K-Jetronic debuted in the 1973.5 Porsche 911T in January 1973, and was later installed into a number of Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Lotus, Ferrari, Peugeot, Renault, Volvo, Saab, DeLorean and Ford automobiles.


Alligator Sky

His "Alligator Sky" self makes an appearance at the end of the music video for "Deer in the Headlights" where he is nearly run over by himself driving the DeLorean (from Back to the Future) after coming to the year 2015.

Back to the future timeline

September 1 - Doc buries the broken DeLorean time machine in the Del Gato mine and writes a letter to Marty McFly, currently stranded in 1955.

DeLorean Motor Company

The key element of evidence for the prosecution was a videotape showing DeLorean discussing the drugs deal with undercover FBI agents Benedict (Ben) Tisa and West, although DeLorean's attorney Howard Weitzman successfully demonstrated to the court that he was coerced into participation in the deal by the agents who initially approached him as legitimate investors.

The DeLorean DMC-12 shot to worldwide fame in the Back to the Future movie trilogy as the car made into a time machine by eccentric scientist Doctor Emmett L. Brown, although the company had ceased to exist before the first movie was made.

Ernest Cline

Cline also revealed that the competition's grand prize would be a 1981 DeLorean.

Guido Merkens

During the second season of the TV show "Chuck" on NBC, the episode "Chuck versus the DeLorean" first broadcast on December 8, 2008 mentioned Merkens when John Casey (Adam Baldwin) states that Sarah's dad (played by Gary Cole) has checked into a hotel under the alias "Guido Merkens."

Puente Hills

In the scene from Back to the Future (1985 film), Doc Brown introduces the iconic Delorean time machine in the parking lot of Puente Hills Mall.

Ready Player One

Cline also revealed that the competition's grand prize would be a DeLorean.
