Collegiate a cappella

This growth was fueled in part by stylistic changes that had widespread appeal, and in part by the founding in 1990 of the The Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA) by Deke Sharon and Rex Solomon, which enabled interaction and collaboration of a cappella groups across the United States for the first time.

International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella

Founded in 1996 by Adam Farb and Deke Sharon, the ICCA tournament takes place from January through April in seven regions: West, Midwest, South, Mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes, Northeast, and Europe.


Drift Away

Street Corner Symphony also sang a version of this song as their swan song on the season 2 finale of the NBC series, The Sing-Off; that version is arranged by Deke Sharon.

Town School for Boys
