Demirköy

The inhabitants are mainly descendants of Muslims from the village of Tisovo and other villages from the Greek side of the Chech region who were settled in Demirköy in 1923/1924.

Lozenets, Burgas Province

Lozenets was founded in 1924 by around 20 Bulgarian refugee families, originally from Eastern Thrace (mostly Peneka and Malak Samokov) who were initially put up in Poturnak (Velika), but moved to the seaside in search of better conditions.

Rezovo

As the Rezovo River constitutes the border between Bulgaria and the European part of Turkey, Rezovo directly overlooks the Turkish bank of the river and the Turkish village of Beğendik, in Demirköy district, Kırklareli Province.
