Polesian Lowland is a lowland in the southwestern portion of the East European Plain in basin of such rivers as Dnieper, Prypiat, Desna and stretches along the Belarus-Ukraine border.
The couple settled in Khotylevo estate acquired by Prince Tenishev in Bryansky district, Orel province; estate was situated on the banks of Desna river, where the Princess founded a one-class school.
