B. N. College, Dhubri (estd. 1946) at Dhubri is one of the oldest and famous institutes in Assam.
Up to the sixties there was a railway link from Cooch Behar to Dhubri via Golokganj.
Bodo Brahma Dharma was a new religion agitated by Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma in the early 20th century in Dhubri District of Assam among the Bodo people after initiation in the Brahmo faith and the teachings of the Adi Brahmo Parambrahma in 1906 at Kolkatta and assisted by Rupnath Brahma.
Dhubri in Assam, further north of Bogra, is associated as the place where Neta, foster mother of Manasa, lived and worked as a washerwoman.
