During this hiatus, drummer Ollie joined Kuala Lumpur's ska band Gerhana Skacinta, singer Lee appeared playing didgeridoo with local surfer groups while Fendi and Joe Kidd restarted their project band from 1994, The Shitworkers with Bullet (of pioneering thrash metal bands of the mid-80s Nemesis, Punisher).
As the wiseman hands Scrooge a didgeridoo, Scrooge sarcastically replies "Great! Now I'm John Philip Sousa!", which Jabby takes literally, and hence, calls Scrooge by the name Jonflip Zooza.
Zeca left the band, while the brothers Leo (Guitar) and Rod (Keyboards, Percussion and Bass) joined in, and some months after, bass duties were undertaken by Katharsis’ vocalist Sarmento (Bass, Tenor Sax and Didgeridoo).

The modern didgeridoo design innovations differ from traditional authentic digeridoos because they are not made by Indigenous Australians in a traditional style and do not use Eucalyptus branches hollowed by termites.

A keyed didgeridoo (having keys somewhat like those of a saxophone, allowing the performer to play melodically) was developed in the late 20th century by the U.S. didgeridoo player Graham Wiggins (stage name Dr. Didg) and used on his CDs Out of the Woods (1995) (in the track "Sun Tan") and Dust Devils (2002) (in the tracks "T'Boli" and "Sub-Aqua").

Invented by didgeridoo player Charlie McMahon, the Didjeribone design is a cross between the didgeridoo and trombone, and consists of two plastic tubes placed inside the other.
Members included Andrew Day (guitar, vocals, trombone, mandolin, didgeridoo), Declan de Barra (vocals), Hywel Stoakes (bass) and Adam Pedretti (drums).
Her work Maithuna Sextet, commissioned by the North Carolina Music Teachers' Association, was performed by the Ciompi Quartet at Duke University; Forest Spirit Suite, also performed by Ciompi, includes the folk instruments didgeridoo and rainstick.

In 1938, Australian anthropologist, A. P. Elkin described Wangga, "It starts as a sudden high note, then descends in regular intervals to a low pitch, after which the songman just beats his sticks to the accompaniment of the didgeridoo. Twenty seconds or more later, the melody is sung as before and so on" and lyrics tend to be syllables.
