The Digital Switchover took place between June & July 2009.
In 2009, S4C ceased from broadcasting Channel 4 programmes altogether when analogue television transmitters in Wales were switched off as part of the United Kingdom-wide Digital switchover.
Other sites that required major engineering work before Digital Switchover were Divis (Northern Ireland) and Sandy Heath, (Bedfordshire), which also required mechanical strengthening work.
