In May 2012, Baxter enrolled at Baker University, a small NAIA school in Baldwin City, Kansas.
In November 2010, he was found to have given a free ride in his personal golf cart to USC football player Dillon Baxter, which appeared was a violation of National Collegiate Athletic Association rules concerning extra benefits to student-athletes.
