Dennis Trembly

Active as a soloist, Trembly was a semifinalist in the 1973 G. B. Dealey Competition in Dallas, and won second prize at the 1978 International Double Bass Competition on the Isle of Man, where he performed the Concerto in E Major, by Karl Dittersdorf, with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

After a few years Prince Joseph disbanded the orchestra, since he had to leave Vienna to assume the regency in Hildburghausen, and the Austrian Empress hired Dittersdorf for her own orchestra through Count Durazzo, Theatre Director at the Imperial Court.
