In the 1954 comedy film Doctor in the House, Sir Lancelot Spratt, the intimidating chief of surgery played by James Robertson Justice is asking instructional questions of his medical students.
Sir Lancelot, however, has fond memories of his own student days, particularly of the Dean's own youthful indiscretion (persuading a nurse to reenact Lady Godiva's ride).
The house and gardens have been featured in many British films, including Doctor in the House.
