On 15 January 2012, during the TV programme L'arena, Gianni Morandi announced the complete list of songs competing in the "Big Artists" section of the Sanremo Music Festival 2012, also including Dolcenera's "Ci vediamo a casa".
In the days before the album's release, Dolcenera did a number of performances and interviews on various Italian television shows, including Domenica in, Top of the Pops and Quelli che il calcio e..., singing the leading single "Il sole di domenica".
An Italian version titled "Giorni d'Estate" ("Summer days") was recorded for Dolcenera's fourth album, Dolcenera nel paese delle meraviglie ("Dolcenera in Wonderland").
The song allowed Dolcenera to participate in the singing contest Destinazione Sanremo, created to choose the contestants of the 53rd Sanremo Music Festival in the newcomer artists' section and broadcast on Rai 2.
