The Bardic has recently done performances of High School Musical, Buddy Holly, Jesus Christ Superstar, Blood Brothers and Joseph and the Technicolor Dream coat.
Their meeting took place at Domnach-már-Criathar, now Donaghmore, near Gorey, county Wexford, and St. Patrick inquired whether he had among his "disciples" any one who was "the material of a bishop, whose qualifications are enumerated in the Book of Armagh".
By 1714 he had returned to Ireland where he had become the Guardian of the Dungannon/Donaghmore Franciscan house; in 1717 he was transferred to Drogheda but was back as Guardian at Dungannon in 1720.
Tarlach Rua Mac Dónaill was from the townland of Derrylasky in the parish of Donaghmore, County Tyrone, and lived in the first half of the 18th century.
Tom was born into a farming family in Donaghmore near Ashbourne on the County Meath-County Dublin border, and educated at St. Andrew's College, Dublin.
His grandfather, David McNair, Sr., immigrated to Pennsylvania from Donaghmore, County Donegal, Ireland around 1733 and had Scottish ancestors from Loch Lomond.
