Dormagen Bayerwerk station is a station in the Bayer works in the town of Dormagen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Düsseldorf-Bilk station is now served only by the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn (slow regional trains) and is connected by the lines S 8, S 11 and S 28 to Neuss, Mönchengladbach, Kaarst, Wuppertal, Hagen, Erkrath, Mettmann, Dormagen, Cologne and other parts of Düsseldorf (Central station, Düsseldorf-Gerresheim,...).
In 1815 after the Napoleonic Wars, Neuss became part of the Kingdom of Prussia, and was reorganized as a district with the municipalities of Neuss, Dormagen, Nettesheim, Nievenheim, Rommerskirchen and Zons.
As product lines developed and increased, the company was starting to outgrow their current facilities, and so in 1960, started development of a new blending plant at Dormagen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
