The channel was founded by Dragana Mirković and her husband Toni Bijelić, using facilities from the previously defunct SAT TV station, also located in Požarevac.
On 17 September 2012, Mirković announced that she would hold a humanitarian concert in Zenica, Bosnia on 7 November in the Arena Zenica.
Many of his songs have been covered by other Balkan artists, most notably by Serbian Dragana Mirković and Macedonian Toše Proeski and others.
On September 25, Prva announced that the judges will be: television host Ivan Ivanović (who is currently hosting Veče sa Ivanom Ivanovićem on the same television), actress Katarina Radivojević, singer Marija Mihajlović and Dragana Mirković, who is also a singer.
