Dryanovo

Dryanovo has a favourable geographical position, being situated 20 km away from Gabrovo, 24 km from Veliko Tarnovo, 17 km from Tryavna and about 30 km away from Sevlievo.

The town lies on the Rousse-Veliko Tarnovo-Gabrovo-Shipka-Kazanlak-Stara Zagora highway and it is a station of the main railway thoroughfare, which links the north and the south part of Bulgaria.

Dryanovo Municipality

It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Dryanovo.


Central Balkan dialect

Its range includes most of north-central Bulgaria (without the regions of Dryanovo and Elena), as well as the regions of Karlovo, Kazanlak and Plovdiv in southern Bulgaria, all the way down to the northernmost ridges of the Rhodopes.

Dryanovo River

Before joining the Yantra River it passes through Plachkovtsi, Tryavna, Tsareva Livada, Dryanovo, Ganchovets, Sokolovo and Debelets.
