John Dykstra (born 1947), American motion picture special effects artist
Dykstra grew up in Woodbridge, Virginia, attended Osbourn Park High School, and played college soccer at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2004 to 2008, redshirting in his first year.
Dykstra was born "Broer Dijkstra" in Pingjum, Friesland in 1871, son of Doekele Dijkstra and Beitske van der Schaaf.
He and his family lived in Europe for nine years while Dykstra worked for Lasmo Energy.
In 2007 Dykstra was nominated for an AFI Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Romulus, My Father directed by Richard Roxburgh.
In 2008, Fallon (now Trish Dykstra) returned to Sydney Uni Flames, for whom she had played in two periods from 1993 to 2007, as Operations Coordinator.
